Upon her graduation, she moved to St. George and worked for an agency focused on treating trauma. She also worked for a short time working with families and children with Autism.
Laurette specializes in trauma treatment, working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She has training in crisis management, treatment of substance use disorders, and treatment of those dealing with mental illnesses.
I work on my mental health by using my spirituality, enjoying music, and spending time with my family. I do what I counsel to others including breath work and grounding. Bubble baths are my favorite way to relax!
I enjoy family game nights and in general spending time with my family. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring all that makes Utah special. I also enjoy exploring petroglyphs on my travels throughout the state. I am a huge sports fan and enjoy watching football, basketball, and baseball. Being from Arizona my favorite teams and the Diamondbacks, the Arizona Cardinals, and the amazing Suns! I also enjoy going to live music events.
I am a strength-based, person-centered therapist. I believe that you matter, and I hope to validate your experiences, provide active listening, and want to help you uncover your strengths to assist you in achieving your potential. I will be your cheerleader and will believe in you!!
