She has extensive experience counseling children and adolescents with mental health concerns, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and behavioral disorders. Emily is dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and empowers her clients throughout their unique journeys. She serves as an advocate, empowering her clients to achieve their goals and embrace their authentic selves.
Emily is trained in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mind-body bridging, and Brief Interventions for School Clinicians. As a school counselor, Emily’s areas of expertise include children and adolescents.
I believe in the importance of authentic connection, curiosity, and compassion. I strive to continually challenge both my mind and body, living by the philosophy: “If you’re green, you grow; if you’re ripe, you rot.” These principles have been central to fostering my own positive mental health and self-awareness.
I enjoy running, reading, snowboarding, and hiking – especially when I can share these activities with family and friends.
“My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered theory, complemented by a passion for data and research to ensure evidence-based, nonjudgmental, and genuine care. I see the client as the driver on their journey of self-actualization, while I, as the counselor, am the passenger – offering guidance or support, but never taking conrol of the wheel.”
