Mitchell has always been a person who likes to connect with other people. This passion led him to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After working in the business world for years, he realized that his favorite part of the field was helping employees and others to grow in their own aspirations. This passion soon led Mitch to the education field, where he works with teenagers to grow and shape their minds. These steps have led Mitch towards Master’s Degrees in both School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Mitchell has experience working with all ages due to his professional background. He enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, as well as adults. Mitchell has experience working with children on a personal level since he has young children of his own. With his previous profession in management, as well as his current profession in education, Mitch has a way of helping teens and young adults set, and reach their goals. He is a great friend and listener to these incredible populations. Mitchell also has experience working with adult populations due to his previous business background and helping clients and employees face difficulties.
Mitchell looks forward to serving you using a mixture of Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectal-Behavioral, and person-centered theories. Mitchell is willing and excited to practice whatever forms of counseling work best for individual client needs.
To achieve my own positive mental health, I work hard to take time for myself when I feel it is needed. I like to be busy filling my cup with the things I value like quality time with my family, watching or playing sports, and spending time outdoors. I have always tried to look at life optimistically; it is the adage of seeing the glass as fuller rather than empty. I believe having a positive attitude and outlook allows me to maintain positive mental health.
I am a big Philadelphia Eagles fan (GO BIRDS!) and love watching their games. I have converted my wife, son, and daughter to Philly Nation as well! I also enjoy playing any kind of sport. I love taking on projects, specifically those that have to do with woodworking. I enjoy spending time with my family every day and am always up for an adventure!
My therapeutic approach is very personalized to each client. I prefer a person-centered theory because it allows the client to do their work around different struggles or issues that may arise. I believe that we are capable of learning new habits that can help us answer our difficult questions. I enjoy working with others to explore those questions and build better habits for the future.
